Congratulations to the Speech and Debate Team for their annual Bulldog Invitational tournament this weekend.  18 schools from 3 different states were in attendance, including approximately 150 students and 60 judges.  The following Bettendorf students earned trophies:

Taylor Gainey - 5th Place in Informative Speaking

Connor Hetner - 3rd Place in Informative Speaking

Ethan Murphy - 4th Place in Original Oratory

Miley O'Malley - 4th Place in Student Congress and Presiding Officer in Congress

Bri Seeley - 3rd Place in Student Congress and Presiding Officer in Congress

Ellie Winkler - Runner-Up in Varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate and 1st Place Speaker in Varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate

The team capped off an incredible season with aphenomenal 6th Place finishat the 2025 State Meet!

Upcoming events/deadlines: 

  • If you are interested in taking a Spring CCIR course with Scott Community College, please complete the form using this LINK, and we will get you an appointment with your counselor to further discuss and look at your schedule. If you have any questions, please stop by Student Services.

  • The fall Seal of Biliteracy testing will begin the first week of December.  If you are interested in showing future colleges and employers that you are bilingual, please sign up.  The test is given in Spanish, French, and German.  Please see Frau Law for sign-up sheets in D263.  If you would like to be certified in a language other than Spanish, French, or German, please see Frau Law.  The STAMP test is $25.  Money is due on November 21st to the activities office.

Upcoming meetings:

  • Bettendorf Key Club is collecting fabric and throw blanket donations through December 5, 2025, to help QC Closet2Closet make care packages for foster children. Please bring all donations to Mrs.Schneckloth's room (D314).

  • 11/20/25 - Agriculture Visit Day - We will learn about the exciting degrees and careers in Agriculture

  • 12/2/25 - Military Showcase - Meet and gain information about the various branches and opportunities in the military

  • 12/4/25 - National Guard Visit - Located in Commons during lunch 11-1

  • 12/5/25 - Marine Visit - Located in Commons during lunch 11-1

  • 12/5/25 - Auto Mechanics & Collision Career Visit - We will tour a dealership and autobody shop to learn about careers in these sought-after fields. A representative from Southeastern Community College will share information about their AAS degrees and programs available. 

  • 12/9/25 - Scholarship PRIDE - learn about over 70 local scholarships offered to QC high school students
