Attention Seniors: The deadline to submit your interest in giving a speech at graduation is TODAY, May 9th. The form can be found in the Senior Bulletin or you can click this link to complete it.

Attention Juniors that registered or applied for Internship and Work Experience for next year- please look at your email and register for a PRIDE session Thursday or Monday- failure to attend or contact Ms. Sarah Roeder before Monday will result in being removed from the program for next year.

Upcoming events/deadlines:

  • For Mental Health Awareness Month, consider going back to the basics of Brain Health by focusing on the building blocks that make a healthy human.  

    • Get 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep

    • Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day while cutting back on caffeine 

    • Increase your intake of fruits, veggies, and lean proteins while decreasing your junk food

    • Get active, move your body

    • Take a break from screen time

    • Avoid harmful substances

All of these are key to managing brain health, so Turn Awareness Into Action BHS and become your best self.

  • The Gray Matters Collective and the BHS Library are teaming up to do a bookmark design contest for Mental Health Awareness month. Pick up your template in the library, get creative, and submit by Monday, May 13th to enter the contest!

  • The last day to check out books from the library for the school year was Thursday, May 15th. All library books will be due back by Thursday, May 29th. If you have lost or overdue books currently, please return them as soon as possible. Reach out to Ms. Mitola with any questions.

  • It is the last month with our seniors! Class of 2028 is selling some Send Off Sweets. Send a special senior a note and it will be delivered in their advisory on May 14th. Seniors, do you have an underclassman or teacher that deserves a little love? Feel free to buy one to be delivered as well! Please bring cash!

Upcoming meetings:

  • Conservation Club meets every Monday from 3:30 - 4:30 in room C302. If you're interested in saving species by planting flowers and testing water quality, or you're interested in going on field trips that include boating on the Mississippi River or hiking through forests, join us!!

  • Chess Club meets every Wednesday, after school, in the Cafeteria.

  • Cultural Diversity Club- LAST meeting of the year-- Wednesday, May 14th at 7:35 am in B202.  Celebrate our seniors and AAPI month and help us plan next year! :)

Upcoming PRIDE sessions:

  • Film Club meets every Friday during PRIDE in Mrs. Mojeiko's room, B210.

  • Attention all boy golfers, there will be an informational meeting in Coach Furne's pride TODAY,  May 9th about the tryouts.

  • Check the mental health awareness month calendar to see the upcoming pride sessions and activities for the month. LINK

  • The U.S. representative for our area, Mariannette Miller-Meeks will be here to talk with students TODAY.  Sign up for Politics Today Pride session / Politics Today to attend.

  • Bett Buddies- Keep 5/27 open during PRIDE for our end of the school year Bett Buddies Party.  We will be celebrating graduates, retirements, and a going away party for our friends who are leaving.
