Attention Seniors: The deadline to submit your interest in giving a speech at graduation is Friday, May 9th. The form can be found in the Senior Bulletin or you can click this link to complete it.

Attend to the End Update:

It's a tight race and the 10th and 12th graders are finishing strong.  10th grade with a win yesterday over the seniors by .1%.  It's a tight race to the finish this week.  What class will win FREE Kona ICE.  Three more days!  Senior's three wins will seal the deal.  9th grade you need to beat them to stay on top.  Take care of yourself and finish strong.

The varsity girls tennis team wrapped up the MAC tournament in 3rd place.  Congratulations to Jordyn Blake for winning 1st place at #6 singles and teaming with Sophie Koehler to take 3rd place in #3 doubles.  Piper Fredricksen played a wonderful match against her PV opponent winning in 3 sets.  Congratulations to all of the girls, Piper, Olivia, Rachel, Audrey, Sophie and Jordyn.  The girls will be at Regionals on Monday.  Let's go Dawg's!!!

Upcoming events/deadlines:

  • For Mental Health Awareness Month, we want you to know that Mental Health is personal, and what works for someone else may not work for you. Explore different practices and treatments to find what best fits your unique needs. Turn Awareness into Action. Learn more at Mental Health America, online at  https://mhanational.org/

  • The Gray Matters Collective and the BHS Library are teaming up to do a bookmark design contest for Mental Health Awareness month. Pick up your template in the library, get creative, and submit by Monday, May 13th to enter the contest!

  • The last day to check out books from the library for the school year was Thursday, May 15th. All library books will be due back by Thursday, May 29th. If you have lost or overdue books currently, please return them as soon as possible. Reach out to Ms. Mitola with any questions.

  • It's official - Kona Ice will be coming to celebrate the winning class for our attendance challenge.  One week left to go after this week.  Seniors and Freshman are neck and neck daily with 10th graders creeping behind. Juniors need a strong week. Finish strong to attend.  Attendance matters all year round. 

  • The Esports banquet and senior night has been moved to the cafeteria, but will still be this TOMORROW from 5-7. There will NOT be practice before the banquet. Students and guests should not arrive before 4:45. Students should wear their Esports jerseys with black pants so that we can take a group picture.

  • It is the last month with our seniors! Class of 2028 is selling some Send Off Sweets. Send a special senior a note and it will be delivered in their advisory on May 14th. Seniors, do you have an underclassman or teacher that deserves a little love? Feel free to buy one to be delivered as well! Please bring cash!

Upcoming meetings:

  • Conservation Club meets every Monday from 3:30 - 4:30 in room C302. If you're interested in saving species by planting flowers and testing water quality, or you're interested in going on field trips that include boating on the Mississippi River or hiking through forests, join us!!

  • There will be No Chess Club today, see you next week!

  • Cultural Diversity Club- LAST meeting of the year-- Wednesday, May 14th at 7:35 am in B202.  Celebrate our seniors and AAPI month and help us plan next year! :)

  • WiSTEM will be meeting AFTER SCHOOL TOMORROW, May 8 to discuss college preparation. This meeting is targeted towards Junior girls who are currently planning for college and want to pursue a STEM major, but this meeting is open to anyone regardless of interest in STEM. Snacks will be provided.

  • Attention all boy golfers, there will be an informational meeting in Coach Furne's pride May 9th about the tryouts.
